Umpires Needed:
Qualified, (level 3, 4 or 5) umpires for the Senior Men and Women Western Canadian Championships in Abbotsford August 16-19. Must be available starting around noon on the 15th for the umpire meeting and field inspections and for the entire tournament until the evening of the 19th. Hotel will be supplied to all umpires (local and traveling umpires). Usual per diem will be provided. All games will use the 3 umpire system.

Glenn Blake (DUIC)
Liaison needed:
We need a liaison for the upcoming Western Canadian Championships in Abbotsford August 16-19.
Qualifications:
Fully licensed class 5 driver, able to operate a full sized passenger van. Preferably an umpire.
Duties:
Pick up umpires flying into the airport and transporting them to the hotel on the 15th.
Driving umpires, using the tournament supplied van, back and forth from the hotel to the ball park, perhaps several times throughout the day.
Running errands for the UIC and DUIC and going shopping daily for fruit, food and drinks for the crew.
Returning umpires to the airport on the 20th.
This is a volunteer position, but can be a huge learning experience for the right umpire being around many senior umpires, doing a high level ball. Must be available early on the 15th until after the last flight leaving on the 20th.
