MINOR DEVELOPMENT FUND TRAVEL PROGRAM GRANT APPLICATION

Purpose:

The Minor Development Fund Travel Program Grant is to provide partial funding to assist minor fastball teams travelling to Softball BC Provincial Championships throughout the province. (One application per team)

Eligibility:

Trip must exceed 200 kms of land travel one way to qualify for land grant. Ferry travel need only be indicated on the application form with confirmation coming from point of origin/destination. Only teams registered and in good standing with Softball BC affiliated associations are eligible. Trip must be for the purpose of attending a sanctioned Softball BC Minor Provincial/Regional Championship. Only people directly responsible for the team may apply (Coach, manager, association president)

Calculation of Assistance:

Land travel subsidy rate is up to a maximum of .45 per km based on the yearly allocated budget from the Minor Development funds based on city to city and ferry travel is based on the yearly allocated funds from the Minor Development Fund to a maximum of $150.00 per team

How to Apply:

Completed forms will be accepted from June 1st to July 31st each year and MUST be forwarded by email to mdftravel@softball.bc.ca. A confirmation will be forwarded on receipt of your application. You must keep this confirmation to verify that your application was received and to use when requesting information about your grant. Only those applications received on time and confirmed will be accepted for funding.

Payment of Grant:

Cheques are made payable to the Association and mailed to the Association in August of each year.
