Call for Application - 2022 BC Summer Games Zone Head Coaches

Head Coach Applicants will only be considered for Softball if you meet the following criteria: 

  • At the time of selection, the coach shall have or demonstrate the potential of gaining Competition Introduction Certified with MED evaluation status.
  • As part of the Responsible Coaching Movement the Head Coach shall have completed the necessary training, as set out by Softball BC. This training includes but is not limited to Respect in Sport online training module(s).  Certificate or confirmation of completion must be submitted to the Softball BC Office prior to the start of the Games.  Failure to complete the required training modules will result in removal from the position of Head Coach.

 In addition to helping lead and guide your athletes to perform at their best at the Games, coaches are responsible for supervising them and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their Games experience.

Softball BC is accepting applications for Head Coaches for the following zones:

Zones

Geographical Area

Zone 2 (Female)

Encompasses the Regional Districts of Central Okanagan, Columbia-Shuswap (excluding Electoral Area A), North Okanagan, Okanagan-Similkameen, Thompson-Nicola, and Electoral Areas A and B of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.

Zone 2 (Male)

Encompasses the Regional Districts of Central Okanagan, Columbia-Shuswap (excluding Electoral Area A), North Okanagan, Okanagan-Similkameen, Thompson-Nicola, and Electoral Areas A and B of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.

Zone 4 (Male)

Includes the major centres of the village of Anmore, the village of Belcarra, the city of Burnaby, the city of Coquitlam, the city of New Westminster, the city of Port Coquitlam, the city of Port Moody, the city of Surrey, and the city of White Rock.

Zone 7 (Male)

Encompasses the Regional Districts of Bulkley-Nechako, Kitimat-Stikine, and Skeena-Queen Charlotte.

Zone 8 (Male)

Encompasses the Regional Districts of Cariboo, Fort Nelson-Liard, Fraser-Fort George, and Peace River.

Only those shortlisted for interviews will receive follow up communications. Those selected to the shortlist will have interviews arranged with the selection committee.

 

Call for Application - 2022 BC Summer Games Zone Representatives

Zone Representatives are appointed by the Provincial Advisor and/or the Provincial Sport Organization (PSO). As the sport’s main contact in each BC Games zone for any individuals or teams wishing to qualify for the BC Games, Zone Reps, play a key role in the success of the BC Games. Zone Reps are responsible to the Provincial Sport Organization, through the Provincial Advisor.
