Softball Canada Regional Skills Development Academy
To create an aligned talent development path that raises the standard of softball skills in Canada and prepares athletes to compete at:
- Canadian Championships
- Canada Games
- Junior WNT, Senior WNT
The program is focused on the development of athletes born in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 and is aligned with Softball Canada’s Athlete Development Matrix and Sport Canada’s high performance athlete development pathway.

**All players are highly encouraged to attend both of the first two tryouts.
Please pre-register prior to the tryouts in order to allow the coaches to properly plan for equipment, set up, and coaches.
**There will be a registration fee of $35 per player. Please bring this in CASH to the first day of tryouts.
Please dress for the weather, we will look to go rain or shine if we can.

Where you live determines your zone, not where you play. The address used for Softball BC while registering with your League/ Association team is the address that determines eligibility of the zone you play in.
Zone 4 includes the following communities: The Corporation of District of Burnaby, The Corporation of the City of New Westminster, the District of Coquitlam, The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and the City of Port Moody Major Centres: Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, The City of Surrey, The Corporation of the City of White Rock, Fleetwood, Cloverdale, Guildford, Newton and Whalley. Also including the villages of Anmore and Belcarra.

Wednesday September 18 at North Delta Park (11311 84 Ave, North Delta, BC) from 6pm to 8pm
Saturday September 21 at Hawthorne Park, Ladner (5151 56 St., Ladner, BC ) from 10am to 12pm
At the completion of the two tryouts, the top 22 players will be contacted for an inter-squad game one evening in the week of Sept. 23. Time and location is TBA. The team will be chosen at the completion of the game and players notified within 2-4 days via email.
Pre-registration is not mandatory but would be helpful to allow the coaching staff to plan for sufficient staffing and equipment. Please remember to bring all your Softball equipment.

Players are asked to wear a plain t-shirt and/or sweatshirt as dictated by the weather, and pinnies will be provided.
There will be a mandatory one-time, non-refundable, registration fee of $35 per player.
On tryout days, we ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to finalize registration, collect payment and be issued a pinny.
