2022 Canada Summer Games Team BC Men Athlete Pool Update

 Peachland, BC., Friday, January-29-21– Head coach Doug Allin, assistant coach Sally Smith and Team Manager Phil Ransome along with Softball BC plan to announce the long list for Team BC Men’s Teams player Athlete Pool for the 2022 Canada Games in Niagara on Friday, February 12th, 2021. The long list will have a maximum of 22 players ** from which a team will be selected after the completion of the selection camp this September in Kelowna BC. Final dates TBA

The Canada Games Council (CGC) and Niagara 2022 Host Society will hold the 2022 Canada Summer Games from Saturday, August 6th to Sunday, August 21st, 2022. The men’s team is slated to compete at the games the week of August 15-21, 2022.

The Games’ Opening Ceremony will be held at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, while the Games’ Closing Ceremony will be held at Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls.

Dear Softball BC Members,

Softball BC’s announces the Team BC Men’s Team’s Final Selection Camp scheduled for September 19-20, 2020 in Barriere, BC has been rescheduled to September 26-27, 2020, in Kelowna, BC at Kings Stadium.

The coaching staff encourage players to attend the final selection camp to ensure they have the best chance to make the team. Please note the coaching staff reserve the right to add or remove players from the team’s athlete pool at any time.

Softball BC is committed to creating a safe, and welcoming environment for its members; therefore, it will follow the COVID-19 health and safety guidelines set out by the three levels of government to protect the welfare of its members. Accordingly, if the health and safety protocols warrant changes to the ID camps, Softball BC will inform registrants as soon as possible.

What should you expect?

  • Testing of abilities in all aspects of the game: Throwing, hitting, fielding, speed
  • Interviews with the coaches
  • Dress accordingly and bring your gear and your best effort
  • Lunch is not provided
