The Softball Canada Exams for 2018 are currently ready in both official languages and disciplines and officially open on the web for use as of February 11. Each DUIC has been sent a PDF printable for each of the Level 1 - 2, and 3 exams from each discipline and official language. If you would like a copy of the appropriate exam, according to your level, contact your DUIC. All umpires will need to submit their responses online as the program provides many tools to analyze the results which will provide feedback to all provinces after the exam period is closed.

As the questions for the Level 4 and 5 exams are selected randomly from a bank of questions, a printable PDF is not available. If you want a copy of your exam, to do off-line, you will need to print the exam from the webpage then save your exam and copy the access code. Once you have completed the exam you can go back to the exam page and use your access code to bring up the exam you printed.

The exam login http://hosted.onlinetesting.net/SoftballCanada/login will take you to the start page. Recall that one of the facts is the term years registered. This will require a year (1993) and not a number of years (23).

The exam will mark itself and submit back, on screen, the questions that the umpire was incorrect in answering. The score will be submitted automatically to the tracking system. Subsequent tries (yes we all get 3) will be added to the umpires account.

As part of every season start-up, umpires from coast to coast participate in clinics, review new rules, order fresh uniforms and complete the national exam.
