New Westminster Minor Softball - Annual Awards - MVP Athletics Small Association Of The Year
What a year it’s been for New Westminster Minor Softball Association!

This association has truly been building from the ground up - with a new President, a renewed focus, and a passionate executive team dedicated to growing the game in their community.
From creative social media efforts and “Try It” events throughout the year, to spreading the word in local schools and posting signs on school fences, New West has been working tirelessly to recruit new athletes and spark excitement around the sport. And it’s working!
This season also marked a major milestone: the introduction of Rep Ball in New West after many years of fielding only C teams. By expanding their program, they’ve created opportunities for athletes who want to compete at a higher level - ensuring players can continue to grow without leaving their home association. At the same time, they remain deeply committed to grassroots development, proving you can build strong fundamentals while aiming high.
Community involvement is at the heart of everything they do. Each year, they proudly participate in the Hyack Festivalparade and host a booth at Hyack Days - the city’s biggest community celebration. For the past three years, they have also hosted the Chris Chong Memorial Tournament, bringing the entire community together in support of youth sport.
Beyond the diamond, their teams stay active in Christmas events, major sporting events, and community initiatives - always showing up, always supporting one another.
