Softball BC is proud to recognize Garry Poznikoff for receiving Softball BC - Umpire Service Award.

Garry’s dedication to the game and to the umpiring community is evident in everything he does. Year after year, he knows the schedule, shows up when needed, and is always willing to step in and help — even when he may not be feeling his best. His commitment to supporting fellow umpires and ensuring the game runs smoothly never goes unnoticed.

Beyond his reliability, Garry is known for the positive and welcoming atmosphere he creates around the field. He has a friendly way of communicating corrections while always managing to add a joke on the side. His calm and supportive approach can ease stressful situations and help everyone stay focused and confident.

Garry has also played an important role in mentoring new umpires. He has a unique ability to make newer officials feel comfortable, valued, and ready to grow in their role. His encouragement and leadership have helped many develop both their confidence and their skills within the game.

Receiving the Softball BC Umpire Service Award is a well-deserved recognition of Garry’s years of dedication, sportsmanship, mentorship, and service to softball.
