Title: Softball BC Canada Cup Lead

Location: Lower mainland - Work from home with several consecutive days in of on-site work in South Surrey

Start Date: Monday, June 2, 2025

End Date: Friday, July 25, 2025

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm *

* hours will fluctuate during Canada Cup event

Salary: $20/hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation

Tasks & Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Member Services and Communications Manager, the incumbent will contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of our annual special event(s) at the Canada Cup  and the Softball BC kiosk/activity centre at Softball City, 2201 148 St, Surrey, BC.

The incumbent will also assist the Programs & Championship Director in the purchase and delivery of equipment, prizing and promotional materials to host organization committees across BC.

Placement Requirements:

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Job Program. Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30, Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugee protection recipients, and are legally entitled to work in Canada.

Applicants must demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form and be computer proficient in the Google Workplace environment (Gmail, Google docs, Google sheets, etc.). Knowledge of the sport of softball is not necessary.
